Camp Focus

Dave Torresani

Coach Torresani has been the head coach at Abington High School for six years and brings with him a wealth of experience from his time as a youth coach in Horsham, as head coach of Roslyn Legion, and from his collegiate playing experience at Penn State-Abington and East Stroudsburg University.

Coach Torresani believes that the same fundamentals that are taught at Double Play Baseball Camp are the same fundamentals that form the backbone of the Abington program. Coach Torresani is looking forward to another year with Double Play and says, “The Double Play Camp philosophy of player skill improvement definitely helps in developing the future stars of Galloping Ghost baseball!”

 Ellie White

Coach White is entering her 18th year as head coach at Abington High School. Coach White is still second in career assists at her alma mater, East Stroudsburg University, where she was a four-year starter at shortstop. Coach White also continues to play with the Vypers, a Class A women’s fast-pitch softball team.

Coach White values her time with Double Play Softball Camp because she says the camp “allows the participants to learn the necessary skills and techniques that will help her as she gets older and wants to compete at the next level...the camp allows me to show the girls the way my program is run and what will be needed in order to succeed on the team.”
